Hi Chi,
My friends had a great time in Siem Reap, and said the tour guide and
the hotel were great. Thanks so much!

Dear Mrs Chi,
It has been 4 days since we returned from our fabulous adventure. Linda and I would like to say THANK YOU VERY MUCH for all your help and for a wonderful trip through Vietnam, and for making our 25th anniversary a memorable one.
This was our first culinary trip and I must say we are very impressed with the chefs, the schools and the arrangements. The tour guides, hotels, transfers/drivers, schedule/timing, tour selection, cooking classes, general meals and schedule flexibility were all perfect. It was actually very nice to have three different tour guides as each provided a different perspective to Vietnamese life and specific knowledge of their region – they were all very helpful and very accommodating. We would definitely highly recommend All Asia and this tour to our friends and family.
This is a trip we will never forget!!!!
Thank you again,
Enzo and Linda Castagna

Dear Chi
Please feel free to use us as a reference should you desire. To have taken a five week tour, visiting Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia, and not have any problems was quite an accomplishment on your part.
Your concern with the details, your expedious replies to all our emails in setting up our tour, and your reasonable pricing gave us the confidence, as well as desire to book with your company.
Although we have traveled internationally to many parts of the world, this was our first custom tour utilizing drivers and guides, all of whom were very good to exceptional.
Our choice of (superior) hotels, with your suggestions, were fine, and many were better than expected. We were more than satisfied with the cars, which were either four door sedans or vans, but always very roomy and comfortable.
To go through all the highlights of the trip would take pages of writing, so suffice to say, there were many, and they were quite diversified.
We were very impressed with the kindness and courtesy of all the people we encountered throughout the tour, but stopping and talking to the young children of Southeast Asia was a special treat. We can't tell you how many times we were told; "You are from the USA. I know the capital of the USA. It is Washington DC."
Being senior citizens, some of our friends thought we might be doing too much in too short a time, but, although we stayed at 16 locations in 5 countries over 36 days, it was not difficult to do, even considering we needed a couple early wake-up calls to either catch a flight, "feed the monks," or see a sunrise, all of which were well worth the effort.
Thank you again for making this trip such a memorable experience. We are looking forward to reviewing the more than 1700 photos we took along the way.
It was wonderful meeting you and your husband, and our best wishes on your scheduled "new arrival" in a couple of months.

Dear Chi,
We have just returned from the 30-day-long tour of Southeast Asia that you arranged for us, and I wanted you to know right away how much we enjoyed it. Despite having traveled widely over the last 40 years, yours was the best tour that we have ever taken. Our guides were generally knowledgeable, considerate, and flexible so as to adapt well to our whims and peculiarities. We were well-treated at every stop. Indeed, it was a superior tour at a budget price. We recommend your agency without reservation or hesitation.
Sincerely,
Joseph and Marianne Bobich

Article from International Travel News (ITN- Sacramento ? USA)
My two adult daughters, wife, and I returned from three magnificent weeks in Thailand (Bangkok and Chiangmai), Vietnam (Hanoi, Hue, Danang, Hoian, Nhatrang, Dalat, and Saigon), and Cambodia (Siem Reap/Angkor) on January 19, 2004. Initially we contacted several travel companies with a desired general itinerary; however, we had our eventual tour set up by Phuong Chi of All Asia Travel Company in Ho Chi Minh City ( allasia@hcm.fpt.vn ). We selected All Asia to make our arrangements because of Phuong Chi?s exceptional responsiveness via email, her willingness to customize our travels, and the price that was quoted. Our payments were easily made by bank wire to Citibank in New York based on information provided by Phuong Chi. There is no doubt that we will have All Asia Travel Company arrange any of our future trips in the area.
We found All Asia treated us like a family member to include checks on our satisfaction as we were traveling, something we have never previously experienced from a travel agency. All the arrangements that All Asia made for us were impeccable, of the highest quality, and everything happened just like clockwork. The guides and drivers furnished at each location were in the upper ten percent of those we have encountered in Asia, and all the guides (and a few of the drivers) spoke excellent English. The guides were highly knowledgeable, were most willing to share information on a wide variety of topics with us, and were quite flexible in making small changes in our meals as they learned our preferences and in the itinerary to better accommodate our interests and the time available.
I would highly recommend the Hoian Beach Resort Hotel in Hoian, Vietnam and the Angkor Century Hotel in Siem Reap. Both are excellent hotels, but what made them stand out from others was their staff: all the employees were very cheerful, responsive, and clearly interested in making our stay as comfortable as possible. I would also recommend the elephant show at the elephant camp outside Chiangmai?it is amazing what those animals can do! Travel in Vietnam (for us a combination of air and driving) was very easy and highly scenic, and we found everyone throughout the country most friendly. It was most refreshing to see that a number of the ancient palace buildings in Hue still stand and are slowing being renovated and preserved. And finally, to see the famous Angkor Wat and the surrounding temples with their thousand year-old construction and intricate and extensive stone carvings is truly something one must personally experience to fully appreciate.

Dear Chi,
I am now back home sound and safe. I am so sorry I missed you when I came your office late at night to offer you some "Banh Com" bought from Ha-noi. You know I only had three days in VN when I came back from the trip up North. I did not even have the time to call you to say "THANK YOU" for all your helps to make our "adventure" a memorable one.
You must tell you that it was an "Experience" of a "lifetime" for both my wife and I. I never knew or even imagined that my "birth-country" was so BEAUTIFUL!
Once again, I just want to take this time to express my sincere thanks to you and your staffs for helping us with our trip. Vin Pearls is a place to remember.
Best,
Le-Minh

Dear Chi:
I am writing to thank you for the wonderful tour you arranged for me and my wife, as well as for your personal interest in our welfare. We would be very happy to recommend you to others contemplating travel in Vietnam and Laos.
The guides you assigned to us were excellent. All of them made
special efforts to accommodate us and our interests, including
dealing with my wife's hearing problem and with our frequent desires to stop along the road for photos. They judged our interests and desired pace of travel and adjusted the program accordingly. One of the advantages of individual travel is to receive this sort of personalized service from guides, and we are grateful to them. In Hanoi, Ngo Manh Ha was relaxed, confident, always pleasant, and willing to make changes in our program as we requested (see below). In Danang, Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa was very energetic and enthusiastic, but also more than ready to accommodate our needs. In Laos, Phimpha Nanthaphone was especially interesting because of his many life experiences in Russia and in the Laos government before he became a guide. "Ken", the government guide who showed us around Luang Prebang, was taciturn but capable, and we are very grateful to him for taking us to the last day of the Hmong New Year festival outside Luang Prebang, which was of course not on our original program. Our guides also arranged tickets for us to see the ballet at the Hanoi Opera and the Laos ballet in Luang Prebang.
The drivers were also excellent. I have the highest respect for their skills in driving under conditions that are very demanding.
Internal air service in both Vietnam and Laos was also fine -- better than we had expected. Of course, as you know, there were several changes in flight schedules that required adjustments in our program, but our guides took care of that very well. These changes also provided opportunities for us to add to our program. Following is a summary of these changes. (1) Because we were ahead of schedule in our day trip to Ninh Binh, we were able to extend the excursion to include the Phat Diem Cathedral. (2) When we arrived at Ha Long Bay at 2 pm, were were able to hire a boat for a valuable 3-hour excursion on our arrival day, in addition to the planned 5-hour trip the next day. (3) When changes in plane schedules left us with an additional half day in Hoi An, we were able to add an excursion to My Son. (4) Finally, our late arrival in Vientiane required that we shift the city tour to our final day, after we returned from the Plain of Jars. It is very nice to have this sort of flexibility.
Your choice of hotels for us was excellent. We especially appreciated their central locations, which allowed us to explore (in evenings for example) by foot on our own. This is so much better than being in an outlying hotel dependent on someone else for transportation. We made such independent walks in Hanoi, Sapa, Hue, Hoi An, Saigon, Vientaine, and Luang Prebang. It turns out that we were quite satisfied with 3-star hotels, and didn't really need (or fully take advantage of) the 4-star Morin and Vinh Hung 4 -- although we are certainly not complaining about these fine properties!
We were a little disappointed in the food in Vietnam -- somehow we did not find many restaurants that were as good (for our taste) as Vietnamese restaurants we use in California. In contrast, some of the French food we had in both Vietnam and Laos was excellent, and the food prices were quite reasonable (by our standards) at even the best restaurants. We provide some more specific comments and recommendations in the following narrative. Incidentally, all our hotels served excellent breakfasts!
We were shocked to find no individual life vests in the boats that
operate in Ha Long Bay -- although I realize that is something beyond
your control.

Subject: Questionnaire
Dear Ms. Chi;
Now that I'm over the worst of the jet-lag, I can respond to the questionnaire you gave us. I thought it would be easier to just e-mail you with our opinions. All of us were very pleased with the tour that you arranged for us, and will be happy to recommend your company to anyone desiring to visit Vietnam. Our guides were helpful and full of knowledge and very patient with our requests. The drivers provided were competent and very obliging,
particularly "Oui" our driver from HCMC to Hue.
The vans were comfortable, with the only problem being the rear -facing front passenger seat in the van in Han Oi. Most North Americans find riding backwards give them the feeling of nausea and we were no exception. When it was my turn to take this seat, I solved the problem by keeping my eyes closed the entire time. This seat also means that you are competing for room for legs and feet with the person sitting opposite you.
We enjoyed all the hotels except the Hai Au in Qui Nhon and are surprised it has a "superior" rating.
The best feature of our tour was the loveliness of the Vietnamese countryside and the worst was the very bad air pollution in HCMC and Ha Noi. Our favourite souvenir--the clothes we had made in Hoi An.
We must also compliment you on the companies you deal with in Cambodia and Laos. All arrangements in these countries were excellent, and we enjoyed them very much.
Things I did right. Our three "free" days were a good idea.
Things I would change if I were doing it over again. I would fly or take the train from Nha Trang to Da Nang. The road was under construction most of the way, so we spent two days doing nothing much but driving.
One of the highlights of our trip was the dining experience you gave us in HCMC. Many thanks again for that and all your efforts on our behalf.
Warm regards, Carol
